Herdsman Position
About Us: We are a family run purebred Angus farm incorporated into our family run row crop farm. We continue to grow our herd and operation and are looking for someone to grow with us. Currently we run around 60 head cow/calf pairs and around 40 head direct to client freezer beef. We sell breeding stock (bulls, heifers & breds) and show stock private treaty in the spring and fall.
Position Details
Qualifications:
Prior experience in livestock is required, experience in breeding/ AI work a positive.
Job Description:
Daily feeding and checking of cattle
Maintenance of facility and fencing
Trailering cattle
All aspects of hay production
Treatment of cattle
Feed Mixing
Cleaning of facilities
Assistance in sale prep and sales of cattle and beef
